How it works
Six steps, from first scan to new smile.
Consultation and scan
Your first visit starts with a free iTero 3D scan of your teeth — a handheld camera, so no moulds and nothing to gag on. A full examination, X-rays and a written treatment plan are £65.
Your projection, before you commit
The scan produces a simulation of your projected final position beside your teeth as they are today. You see the outcome, the number of aligners and the estimated timeline before you agree to anything — and you keep the plan and price in writing.
Attachments
Most cases need small tooth-coloured composite attachments. They give the aligner something to grip so it can rotate or upright a tooth rather than just tipping it. Placed without drilling, removed and polished away at the end.
Wear and swap
You collect several aligners at a time and change to the next set every one to two weeks, wearing them 20–22 hours a day. Expect firm pressure for two or three days with each new tray — that is the tooth moving, and it fades.
Refinement
It is common, and not a failure, to need a short second set of refinement aligners to perfect a few positions. We plan for it. Teeth are biological and do not all move exactly as predicted.
Finish, whiten, retain
We finish with your free whitening course, fit your six Vivera® retainers, and show you the before-and-after scans side by side.
What it costs
Clear prices, three ways to pay.
The price you are quoted is the price you pay. Nothing is added mid-treatment, and every Invisalign® course — whichever option you choose — includes the free whitening and the six retainers.
Pay in full
Card or bank transfer on the day you approve your plan. This is the simplest route and suits most patients.
0% APR finance over 12–60 months
Through Chrysalis, subject to status. A £3,500 Invisalign® Go course costs £58.33 a month over 60 months — no interest, and you can apply in the practice.
Practice Plan membership from £17 a month
Covers your routine check-ups and hygiene visits with 20% off other treatment — many patients run membership alongside aligner treatment for the check-in visits.

Aligners handle well
- Crowding and overlapping front teeth
- Gaps and spacing between teeth
- Mild to moderate overbite, underbite and crossbite
- Teeth that have drifted after previous orthodontic work
Your teeth need to be healthy and your gums stable before movement starts — there is no sense straightening a tooth with untreated decay underneath it. We check that at your first appointment.
Fixed braces may serve you better
- Large vertical movements, where a tooth must come down or up significantly
- Severe rotations, particularly of round-rooted teeth such as premolars
- Skeletal bite problems, where the jaws themselves are mismatched
- Cases where you know the aligners will not stay in for 20–22 hours a day
Sold someone the treatment they want rather than the one that works and you end up with straight teeth and an unhappy patient. We would rather tell you at the scan.

Most cases at Radiant Dental take 6–9 months, depending on how much movement is needed. Invisalign® Express handles mild crowding in around 2 months. Your ClinCheck® will show you how many weeks your treatment is going to take.
How much is Invisalign® in Ashton-under-Lyne?

How many hours a day do I need to wear the aligners?
20 to 22 hours a day. They come out to eat, to drink anything other than water, and to brush — and go straight back in. Falling short of 20 hours is the single most common reason treatment runs past its projected finish date.
Will Invisalign® affect my speech?
Slightly, for the first few days. Most people notice a faint lisp on "s" sounds while the tongue adjusts to the aligner edge, and it settles within a week. Talking and reading aloud at home speeds it up.
Do I have to wear retainers afterwards?
Yes — permanently, at night. Teeth drift back toward their old positions without them, and that relapse is not covered by the original fee. Your course includes six Vivera retainers, and replacements are available afterwards.
Does Invisalign® hurt?
You feel firm pressure and tenderness for the first two or three days of each new aligner, similar to the ache after a hygiene visit. It settles as the tooth moves. Changing aligners at bedtime means you sleep through the tightest part.
Can I drink coffee with my aligners in?
No. Hot drinks can warp the plastic, and coffee, tea and red wine stain it. Water is the only thing that should go in while the aligners are in place. Take them out, drink, rinse your mouth with water, then put them back.
What happens if I lose or break an aligner?
Call the practice, then go back to your previous aligner straight away to hold the position. Do not skip ahead to the next set. We will usually order a replacement or move you forward early, depending on how far into that stage you were.
