Policies

The small print, kept clear.

Our practice policies in plain English. Regulated by the General Dental Council.

Privacy policy

Radiant Dental Limited is committed to protecting your privacy. We process personal data to provide dental care, manage appointments, and meet our legal and regulatory obligations as a dental practice regulated by the General Dental Council (GDC).

The personal data we hold typically includes your name, contact details, date of birth, medical and dental history, and treatment records. We collect this when you register, book, or attend an appointment, and we keep it for as long as is necessary to provide care and meet record-keeping requirements.

We do not sell your data. We share it only where necessary — for example with a laboratory, a referral specialist, or a finance provider you have chosen to use — and always on a lawful basis under the UK GDPR.

Our lawful bases are Article 6(1)(c) and 6(1)(f) for practice administration, and Article 9(2)(h) — the provision of health care — for your clinical records. Dental records are retained for a minimum of eleven years after your last appointment, or until a patient who was treated as a child reaches the age of 25, whichever is longer.

Cookies

This website keeps its own cookie footprint to a minimum. We use no advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any service that profiles you across other websites.

With your permission, we measure how the site is used with Google Analytics 4. Analytics cookies (such as _ga) are set only after you press Accept on the cookie notice, and they let us see which pages are useful and where people get stuck. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set at all — declining measures nothing and costs you nothing. Your choice is remembered in your browser, and you can change it at any time by clearing this site’s storage in your browser settings, which makes the notice appear again.

The map on our contact and location pages is embedded from OpenStreetMap. If you interact with that map, OpenStreetMap may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. The map loads only when you scroll to it.

Booking is handled on a separate site provided by Dentr, and our finance applications by Chrysalis Finance. Both are independent providers with their own privacy and cookie policies, which apply once you leave this site.

Data protection policy

Radiant Dental is the data controller for the personal information it holds. We handle all personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

You have the right to access the information we hold about you, to ask for it to be corrected, and in some circumstances to request its deletion. To make a request, or to raise any concern about how your data is handled, contact the practice in writing.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, or by calling 0303 123 1113.

Where you have consented to analytics, Google Ireland Limited processes anonymised usage statistics on our behalf as our processor; it never receives your clinical or contact details.

Data protection enquiries should be addressed to the Practice Manager at 61 Stamford Square, Ashton-under-Lyne, OL6 6QR, or by phone on 0161 330 1178.

Terms & conditions of use

By using this website you agree to these terms. The content on this site is provided for general information about our practice and treatments and is not a substitute for a personal clinical assessment or advice.

Prices shown are for guidance and are confirmed in writing before treatment begins. Appointments cancelled with less than the notice period we specify may be subject to a charge; please ask the practice for details.

Radiant Dental Limited is registered in England & Wales. The practice is regulated by the General Dental Council.

Health & safety policy

Radiant Dental is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff and visitors. We follow current cross-infection control and decontamination guidance, including the sterilisation of instruments and the use of appropriate personal protective equipment.

All clinical staff are trained in, and required to follow, our infection-control procedures. Equipment and procedures are regularly reviewed to ensure they meet current standards.

Accessibility

We want this site to be usable by everyone. It is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA: it works with a keyboard alone, respects your system’s reduced-motion and colour preferences, uses text that meets AA contrast, and carries descriptive alternative text on images.

If you have trouble using any part of this site, or you need information from it in another format, call us on 0161 330 1178 and we will provide it another way.

The practice itself is on Stamford Square with free parking at the rear, off St James Street. Please tell us about any access requirements when you book so we can make sure your visit works for you.

Complaints policy

We aim to provide a high standard of care, and we want to know if something hasn’t gone right so we can put it right. If you have a concern or complaint, please tell us as soon as possible — by phone, in person, or in writing — and we will acknowledge it and investigate promptly.

Complaints are handled confidentially and will not affect your treatment. If you remain dissatisfied, you may contact the Dental Complaints Service or the General Dental Council, which regulates dental professionals in the UK.
